Service Continues in the Summer
Do you want to continue with service over the summer? this article will go through a few things that can help you and your clubs stay active in services throughout this summer.
To start, something that you can do as a club is beautifying parks in your neighborhoods or pick up trash on the side of the road. Not only would you be spending time together as a club, but you can also be 6 feet apart if need be. Another club thing you can do is work with Meals on Wheels to help feed citizens that are unable to leave their homes.
Something that you can do on your own or as a club is starting a recycling effort. If you don’t already have a recycling system in your town, you can make a difference by getting as many people in your neighborhood and other neighborhoods involved. You as an individual or your club could collect sports equipment for kids. In most schools and clubs some kids can’t afford sports equipment. This limits their chance of being able to learn and play sports. How you can do this is you can make announcements in your community, church, and school. You can also create posters to hang up at these places.
The last service idea that you can do or you can do with your club is Raise awareness. You can raise awareness of rare diseases or even to help people that are going through tuff time and put phone numbers on them (for anxiety, depression, and bullying). You do not need your club to do this. If you as a club do any of these we would love you to send pictures to us and keep us updated on all the ways you are continuing your service over the summer.
